Welcome to my channel! This channel focuses on trains in Hong Kong that started in late 2013. I also upload railway videos filmed outside Hong Kong such as Japan, Singapore, the UK, Macau, Taiwan, and Mainland China. I also made videos of train simulation games such as BVE Trainsim and Train Simulator, although it is not the focus of this channel now.

🚆 Trains passing at 130km/hon the JR Kosei Line! At Kyoto, Ogoto-onsen and Yamashina Stations JR湖西線

Welcome to the Kansai region of Japan! I was on a Kyoto and Osaka trip from 2024/06/16 to 06/23 and filmed a lot of railways. I was staying in a hot spring hotel with my friends outside of Kyoto at Ogoto next to the west side of Lake Biwa, thus this video was filmed when I left Ogoto to film other rail lines. Since the line runs on the west side of Lake Biwa, it's called the Kosei (Lake West) Line. However, there is no "Lake East" Line. Trains run up to 130km/h on the Kosei Line, especially the Thunderbird Limited Express, which passes almost all stations on the Kosei Line. It even passed a cargo train at one point.

This route looks like it deserved the 2 car consist. I also agree - 7 2 0 should leave Siu Hong at something close to 7 20am, and be a turn in from something like 614P or 615P instead of it being the direct following the 506P. When two special services operate on the same train iternary, one after the other, it clashes for speciality.
Maybe adding a 506P service departing 7:00-7:10am, and have this service through run to 720 would be feasible option.

my wish is to have the M train run on all applicable lines until the very last M train retires in a few years. They may not need to be regular service, but given what can happen with new trains and potential issues, I hope these M trains can stick around as backup trains or overflow trains when necessary. Maybe in 2028+ they might want to have an M train running all four lines in one day as a farewell ceremony?
